Inspiring People to Thrive

It is fundamental to our work that we make a positive difference to our clients. At CXK, we’re proud to deliver a wide range of services and programmes which support individuals to improve their life choices. In the past year alone, we’ve supported hundreds of thousands of adults and young people to build employment skills and confidence. In doing so, we help them to take their next steps in life. 

The heart of CXK’s mission is to inspire people to thrive. And we achieve this by providing high quality support with a focus on the needs of the individuals we support. Through our three key pillars of work – Information Advice and Guidance; Targeted Support; and Training and Development – we tackle their challenges. We help them to develop new approaches and skills to maximise their potential. 

In the past year alone, we have supported more than 300,000 individuals to build their skills, knowledge, confidence, and find work, or access education or training opportunities.  We strive to continue to build on that success and strengthen the quality of services we provide, so that we can reach more people. Our aim is simple: to ensure that our beneficiaries are supported and empowered to be the best they can be. Now and in the future.

Measuring The Difference We Make

It is of utmost importance to the CXK team that we measure the difference that we make. Each of our services is measured against our Impact Framework. A series of 12 outcomes which reflect what our clients achieve with our support.

Our Impact Framework model supports and informs the focus and outcomes of our engagement with all beneficiaries.

In 2020-21:

  • The National Careers Service provided careers information, advice and guidance to 36,000 individuals across the south-east. We achieved customer satisfaction rates of 99% and helped 95% of customers to develop their career management skills, take control of their lives and increase their aspirations to work or train.
  • CXK’s Prison IAG service supported 3,700 individuals across 10 prisons.
  • Our ASK programme supported 280,000 students, 29,0000 parents and 1,700 teachers by working with 2,300 schools across the South region to promote awareness of the benefits of apprenticeships.
  • Our NEET youth mentoring and employability services supported 5,100 young people who were out of education, employment and training with 1:1 support.
  • Our School Careers and Emotional Well-being services were delivered to more than 50 schools supporting more than 4,000 young people.
  • Our team worked with more than 300 young people and family members within Cookham Wood Young Offender Institute – supporting young people to strengthen relationships with family members and providing an informal education and youth engagement service.
