The Family Project offers a variety of fun and interactive workshops designed to support individuals with a wide range of life skills. The range of workshops include: Advice for Dads, More than just Mum, Maximising Your Potential, Money Management and Family Kitchen.  

Advice for Dads

If you're a father or father to be and looking for support, the Advice for Dads sessions cover a variety of topics that will support you as a parent. The series of six two-hour sessions cover topics, such as:

  • Tuning into parenting
  • Creative play
  • Memories & Milestones

Who is the service for?

Fathers and fathers to be.

Benefits of service:

  • Improved engagement between fathers and their children
  • Fathers will be supported yo be better engaged in creative play

More than Just Mum

If you're a mother or mother to be and looking for support, the More than Just Mum sessions cover a variety of topics that will support you as a parent. The series of six two-hour sessions cover topics such as:

  • Tuning into parenting
  • Creative play
  • Memories & Milestones
  • Balancing parenting with adulthood

Mothers and mothers to be.

Money Management

This session supports you with basic money management and budgeting. The two-hour group sessions cover variety of topics including:

  • Basic savings
  • Preparing basic budget
  • Dealing with debt

14 years old and over

  • Basic understanding of savings
  • Gain budgeting skills

Family Kitchen 

Introduction: 2 hour x 6 series of group sessions exploring theory and practical healthy eating. Sessions cover variety of topics including:

  • 5-a-day on a budget
  • Nutrition and healthy meal preparations
  • Fitness and exercise

14 years old and over

  • Improve healthy eating habits
  • Understanding of healthy eating habits

Maximising Your Potential 

Confidential impartial information, advice and guidance group sessions to help identify your skills, make decisions on learning, training and work opportunities.

Who is the service for?

The service is aimed at employers, training providers, school and colleges. Group sessions are aimed at:

  • Those facing redundancy
  • Employed and looking at Continuous Professional Development
  • Considering new career opportunities
  • Unemployed

Benefits of service:

CXK aims to inspire and motivate you, and provide you with the information, advice and guidance you need to help you with managing your career. Participants may complete a careers management programme to help with identification of strengths and employability skills
