How To Earn £30k – Post 16 Options (EP.1)

06th March 2020

Welcome to our video series, “How to Earn £30k”. In this video series our Schools IAG Area Manager and Careers Adviser, Chris, explores the various educational routes available for students, and the different paths they can take to reach their desired outcomes.

Perhaps you’re wondering why we’ve entitled this series “How to Earn £30k”? Well, for a variety of reasons. First, it’s an aspirational target; when we look at the average salary for someone in the UK, it can range from £20,000 to £27,000, so we decided to round this figure up £30,000.

It’s important to remember that the job you do, where you work, and the location in which you’re based will affect the final salary you earn.

This is a great starting point to help students and young people decide what route is best suited to their career goals.

In this series, we explore the following topics across 7 episodes:

  • Episode 1: Year 11 Options / Post 16 Choices
  • Episode 2: Apprenticeships
  • Episode 3: University & Post Grad Jobs
  • Episode 4: OU, Work Related Learning & MOOKs
  • Episode 5: Degree Apprenticeships & School Leavers
