Introduction Programme Course Details

Location: Salt Training Limited, Unit 13 Sea street, Herne Bay, Ct6 8JZ

Day One: Initial Assessment & Induction- Introduction to Bricklaying Skills

Day Two: AM Bricklaying Skills; PM Plastering Skills

Day Three: Plastering Skills

Day Four: AM Tiling Skills; PM Health & Safety Qualification

Day Five: Health & Safety Qualification Continued

What does the learner get?
  • Introduction Training into three construction skills Bricklaying, Plastering and Tiling
  • Initial Assessment to provide a base level that they are working at.
  • An Accredited Health and Safety Qualification that enables learners to apply for a CSCS card.
  • CSCS environmental test booking and Information, support & guidance on how to purchase a CSCS card if they are successful.
  • Summative Assessment of the programme
  • Information, Support & Guidance on Next steps career and further training where appropriate
  • Employer Interview
  • Sign posted to live relevant jobs.
Eligibility for full funding

Learners must meet the below criteria.

  • Learners must be 19+ at the time of them participating.
  • Learners will not have a full level 2 maths qualification. Exceptions can be made where there is a good case for inclusion E.G. they have gained the qualification a long time ago and need upskilling for employability opportunities. We have separate document that will need to be completed. Therefore, we are targeting learners who do not hold a full level 2 maths qualification.
  • If the learner is on benefits, then a National Insurance Number must be provided on enrolment.
  • UK Residential Status or declares they have been in the UK for the last 3 years. (There are several residency categories that can result in funding, but these will be assessed & Advice provided on an individual basis)
