Apprenticeship Adviser (ASK)

Location: Home-based with regular travel across agreed delivery areas within Kent & Medway Contract: Full time or Term Time Only Salary: £25,372 to £28,576 (pro rata for TTO) Closing Date: 09th October 2023 Interviews Held: 24th Oct

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join the ASK (Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge) team delivering to schools and colleges in Kent & Medway, to ensure the support needs of students, parents and teachers are met in upskilling and informing them about apprenticeships and other technical education routes.

As an Apprenticeship Adviser, you will:

  • Undertake planning meetings with schools and colleges to determine their needs.
  • Deliver both virtual and face to face presentations to students from small groups to larger assemblies to raise awareness of apprenticeships, and other technical education routes.
  • Deliver bespoke sessions to students in supporting them to register and apply for apprenticeships.
  • Deliver awareness raising sessions to parents, teachers and local stakeholders.
  • Support the coordination and booking of school events, working with teachers and careers leads to assess their school/college apprenticeship delivery to date.
  • Work proactively with key partners and stakeholders promoting CXK across the region.

You will have:

  • Some experience and knowledge of the work-based learning sector and wider routes into Apprenticeships but full training and support will be given to build upon this experience and update knowledge.
  • Planned, delivered, and evaluated virtual and face to face sessions engaging students, teachers and parents.
  • A network of stakeholders and partners across the region to enhance the support to schools, colleges and partners.
  • A proven track record of successfully working towards targets and KPIs.
  • The ability to engage confidently and sensitively with schools at a range of levels of seniority up to and including head teacher level.
  • An articulate and confident approach with experience of presenting to and engaging with an audience of children/young people.
