Exciting opportunity to be Chair of the Board of Trustees

As our current Chair reaches the end of his exemplary term, we are seeking to recruit a new Chair of the Board of Trustees for CXK.

CXK is a registered Charity working across the South of England, advancing the lives of young people and adults.  Our mission is “inspiring people to thrive”.  We support individuals to maximise their potential, by providing a range of innovative programmes designed to empower them to develop their skills, confidence, and knowledge, facilitating positive opportunities into learning or employment. Last year we supported more than 273,000 people.

The Chair will play an integral role for our charity, providing inclusive leadership and management to the Board of Trustees, enabling each Trustee to fulfil their duties and responsibilities for the effective governance and strategic direction of the charity. As Chair you will ensure that the Board acts with integrity, adopting values and creating a culture which helps CXK achieve its charitable purpose.

As an ambitious and dynamic charity CXK are seeking a highly credible and engaged Chair for the Trustee board. You will offer strong interpersonal skills, strategic leadership, emotional intelligence and a commitment to the charity, its strategic objectives and cause.

A demonstrable track record of senior leadership is required alongside the essential quality of commitment to our shared values. Our key objective is to reach a greater and more diverse audience so the ability to serve as an inspiring ambassador for the Charity’s incredible work is essential.

To be the Chair of CXK is an important, and exciting, fulfilling role and it is important for us that our Chair represents and reflects the diverse communities we support. We welcome applications from all parts of our diverse communities.

This role is remunerated with all reasonable travel expenses and a fixed day rate being reimbursed. The role is also subject to the provision of a DBS check and satisfactory references.
