Finance Assistant Apprentice

Location: Ashford, Kent Contract: Fixed-Term, Full or Part-Time (min. 29.6 hours/week) Salary: £11,544 pro rata Closing Date: 20th February 2023

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly Finance team to start or develop their career in Finance or Accounting. 

Alongside your day-to-day role, you will work towards your Finance Apprenticeship (level 2), with the guidance and support of your experienced colleagues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sales Ledger by raising Sales Invoices and Sales Credits in line with Customer Purchase Orders (POs)
  • Checking Invoices for accuracy and raising questions and queries.
  • Assist with the raising of Purchase Orders (POs)
  • Assist with posting invoices to the accounts system
  • Reconciling customer accounts (invoices & payments received)
  • Reconciling supplier accounts (invoices & supplier payments)
  • Assist in the checking and input of staff expenses
  • Assist Payroll in the gathering of input information monthly
  • Undertake a level 2 Accounting/Finance Apprenticeship and apply learning and best practice to the role.
