Bids for round 3 of funding will be accepted from organisations in Essex, Southend on Sea, Kent, and Medway.

Q: Can I apply for more than one grant at a time?
No, a maximum of one grant per organisation can be held at one time
Q: What’s the maximum grant I can apply for?
We are issuing grants between the values of £10k and £20k, so £20k is the maximum you can apply for.
Q: Can I apply for a grant less than £10k?

Q: My organisation isn’t based in the SELEP area, can we still apply?
Eligibility is defined by where delivery takes place and where the participants live, rather than where the organisation is based. The ESFA guidance is: “participants in funded programmes must be at least 16 years old, unemployed or economically inactive and resident in the SELEP area. Projects must be delivered in the SELEP region”. You can identify postcodes within the SELEP area here.
Q: What is meant by the term ‘progression’?
Progressions are defined as
- A start in paid employment or self-employment
- A start on a programme of education and training at a higher level than completed on the ESF programme OR for a minimum of 20 guided learning hours at the same level
