Below you’ll find answers to some of the questions we get asked the most about the Community Grants programme.
Please also refer to the Grant Information page, which should contain all of the information you require about the programme, including how to apply.
This page will be regularly updated with FAQs received, so keep looking here for more information.
Q: I’m not a charity- can I still apply?
Yes, as long as you are classed as a small organisation as per these guidelines.
Q: Can I apply for more than one grant at a time?
No, a maximum of one grant per organisation can be granted at one time.
Q: What’s the maximum grant I can apply for?
We are issuing grants between the values of £10k and £20k, so £20k is the maximum you can apply for.
Q: Can I apply for a grant less than £10k?
No, we are issuing grants between the values of £10k and £20k, so £10k is the minimum you can apply for.
Q: When will I know the outcome of the application?
We will communicate outcomes of round 1 by the end of June.
Q: My organisation isn’t based in the SELEP area, can we still apply?
Eligibility is defined by where delivery takes place and where the participants live, rather than where the organisation is based. The ESFA guidance is: “participants in funded programmes must be at least 16 years old, unemployed or economically inactive and resident in the SELEP area. Projects must be delivered in the SELEP region”. You can identify postcodes within the SELEP area here.
