Free Family Events in Kent this Summer

Free Family Indian Drumming Workshop 

Date: Monday 25th July

Time: 11:00-14:00

Venue: The Pavilion Community Sports and Social Club, Swanscombe

Join us on Monday 25th July, 11:00-14:00, at The Pavilion Community Sports and Social Club, Swanscombe, to take part in our free Indian Drumming Workshop. The event will also include Kickball activities and a bracelet making workshop.

The Indian Drumming Workshop will introduce various rhythms and beats in order to get you engaged and learn how to use traditional Indian drums such as the Dhol.

After the Indian Drumming Workshop, get involved in some bracelet making. Friendship bracelets have been made for hundreds of years, now you can make your own! Learn how to make simple and speedy woven bracelets – make one for yourself, a friend or a loved one!

Finally, try out a game of Kickball!

The Indian Drumming Workshop will introduce various rhythms and beats in order to get you engaged and learn how to use traditional Indian drums such as the Dhol.

After the Indian Drumming Workshop, join Whizzbang Face and Body Paint for a fun session for all ages. Have your face painted by a professional Face Painter, let the paint flow and the glitter sparkle!

Finally, try out a game of Kickball!

Family Fitness Workshop with Olympia Boxing

Date: Friday 29th July

Time: 11:00-14:00

Venue: Tree Estate Community Centre, Dartford* 

Join us on Friday 29th July, 11:00-14:00, at Tree Estate Community Centre, Dartford, to take part in our free Boxing Workshop and bracelet making activities.

The Fitness Workshop will be delivered by Olympia Boxing, who deliver Non-Contact Boxing Fitness suitable for all ages and abilities. We provide the gloves and a qualified England Boxing Coach – it’s lots of fun for all the family.

Following this, take part in Kickball activities and/or a Bracelet making workshop. Friendship bracelets have been made for hundreds of years, now you can make your own! Learn how to make simple and speedy woven bracelets; make one for yourself, a friend or a loved one.

Family Circus Workshop 

Date: Thursday 4th August

Venue: Sutton Valence Village Hall, Maidstone*

Join us on Thursday 4th August, 11:00-14:00, at Sutton Valence Village Hall, to take part in our free Circus Workshop and other activities.

If you have ever wanted to learn how to juggle or spin a plate then a circus workshop from Kinetic Circus is for you! Kinetic Circus has over twenty years’ experience teaching and performing circus skills, so you are sure to learn something new and have a lot of fun in the process! Every workshop starts with a show jampacked with tricks and jaw dropping skills and then you get to have a go and try it yourself!

CXK’s Get Reconnected project provides free family fun days and free family events on weekends and in the half term and school holidays. We give young people and their families and friends a space where they can come together and socialise whilst having the opportunity to try out a range of activities.

Those activities are designed for you to come along and have fun! To support your health and wellbeing and give you an experience of activities which you might not have had the chance to take part in before.
