The grants are available to organisations working in Kent, Medway, East Sussex, Essex, Thurrock and Southend. CXK will be allocating more than £600,000 in total over the course of the next year, across three funding rounds.

Sarah Mills, Assistant Director at CXK, said; “Particular targets for the grants will be organisations that help four key priority groups. Those groups include: the over 50s, individuals with disabilities, people from ethnic minorities and females.

“At CXK we’re dedicated to supporting individuals to progress towards sustainable education, employment and training. Therefore we’re excited to be able to support other organisations to do the same.”

Applications for the first round of funding will open on Monday 15th April, closing Friday 31st May.

The grants have been awarded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) under their Community Grants Scheme via European Social Fund funding (ESF); and are being administered by CXK.
