CXK is looking for Kent young people to join its Youth Action Group; a group which participates in the planning and running of the charity.
The opportunity is open to anyone living in Kent aged 13-24. Successful applicants will be able to provide feedback and insight to influence the charity’s activity and development; from providing feedback on the services the charity provides through to influencing the charity’s marketing activity.
Being a part of the Youth Action Group gives young people a unique opportunity to represent the voice of Kent’s youth, and to positively influence the way young people are supported by the charity across the south-east.
Members of the Youth Action Group would be required to attend regular bi-monthly meetings, and would be supported to take part in training, surveys, focus group meetings, Think Tank sessions, strategic planning activities, and to represent young people to the charity’s Board of Trustees.
For Youth Action Group members, the benefits are huge: they are able to develop new skills, have influence in the running of a charity, develop new contacts and friendships, and take advantage of fun days out! It also gives them something really impressive to add to their CV to help unlock future career opportunities.
