CXK Welcomes Charlotte Walshe as New Chair of Board of Trustees

CXK is delighted to announce the appointment of Charlotte Walshe as the new Chair of our Board of Trustees.

Charlotte has served on the CXK Board of Trustees for the past eight years and brings a wealth of experience from a career spent entirely in the Third Sector, spanning research, fundraising, and the delivery of large-scale projects. She is currently Partnerships & Impact Director at In Kind Direct – a UK charity that connects not-for-profit organisations with companies to help ensure that everyone has what they need to be clean, safe and well.

Having grown up in Bromley and spent six years living in Canterbury, Charlotte has a strong connection to the South East and sees her new role as Chair of Trustees as an opportunity to give back to a region she has known her whole life. She is also a trustee for the London-based digital inclusion charity, Community TechAid, and an ambassador for the Digital Poverty Alliance.

Speaking about her appointment, Charlotte said: “My time as a trustee for CXK has been against a backdrop of life becoming more difficult for too many people. The services, approach, and dedication of the team that attracted me to become and remain a trustee for the last eight years, are the same reasons I am delighted to now be Chair.

“I’ve worked in the charity sector for almost 20 years. The causes I am most passionate about deliver both immediate outcomes, as well as pushing for long-term change for people’s lives, and the systems we all live within. CXK does exactly this.

“I am looking forward to learning from the team and my fellow trustees, as we work together to celebrate, amplify and grow CXK’s impact.”

CXK Chief Executive, Pauline Smith, said: “Our Board plays a crucial role in shaping our strategy, governance and vision. Charlotte brings a deep understanding of the organisation, a strong commitment to our values, and a clear passion for social change. We’re thrilled to welcome her as Chair and look forward to working with her and the rest of the Board as we continue to grow our impact across the region.”
