Start White, Finish Bright with this year’s Colour Run

Wednesday 3rd May 2017

Become a real life canvas and run, jog or walk for charity in our exciting and very popular Colour Run event all in aid of CXK. This colourful event is being organised by the KM Charity Team and will be held on Sunday, June 11th, 2017 at the Betteshanger Country Park, Nr Deal.

Dominic Comins from the KM Charity Team urged people to take the challenge to support CXK: “This is a fun opportunity to raise money and fantastic for getting those all-important end of event selfies whilst covered in a multitude of different colours.”

Adult participants should aim to raise a minimum of £75 in sponsorship. Seventy per cent of sponsorship raised goes to CXK and the work they do with young people surrounding mental health issues. The remaining 30 per cent will go to the children’s road safety department at the KM Charity Team.

CXK's Emotional Wellbeing Service is a confidential service which is committed to improving and promoting the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people, aged 4-18 across Kent who experience emotional difficulties. We do this by providing a person centred counselling and brief solution-focused sessions which build emotional resilience and coping skills.

We support children and young people who are experiencing a variety of difficulties in their lives. With your help, we can provide these vulnerable young people with their very own wellbeing bag. These wellbeing bags will be given to the young people after they complete their sessions, and tailored to their individual needs, so they have the tools needed to find comfort in difficult situations. Each bag costs just £6.50. So by fundraising the minimum £75, CXK receive £52.50…that’s 8 wellbeing bags.

Children under 16 do not need to raise any sponsorship money.
