Virtual Jobs Fair Returns 13th November

09th November 2020

The National Careers Service Virtual Jobs Fair returns next week, promoting local job, apprenticeship and volunteering opportunities from 13-20 November. The Virtual Jobs Fair will virtually visit nine different regions of England throughout the week bringing employers closer to job seekers by advertising vacancies across social media.

The National Careers Service Virtual Jobs fair has the added bonus of having qualified careers advisers with local knowledge to offer free personalised careers information, advice and guidance for anyone wanting advice on vacancies, next steps or finding a role that is right for them.

During the fairs there will be a series of webinars and workshops giving people the tools they need to apply for vacancies, such as techniques to use in interviews, advice on how to use social media to search for jobs and how to write a winning CV.

Taking part in the Virtual Jobs Fair is easy, people can simply search for #JobsHour on Twitter or follow the National Careers Service social media channels to find vacancies in their area. To see what’s on offer in their local fair and access the careers advice events taking place, people can register for free here.

Employers are invited to help bring the Virtual Jobs Fair to life by getting involved in online discussions and encouraging job seekers to ask questions about their opportunities. They can do this by posting and commenting in the Facebook events or replying to their #JobsHour vacancies on Twitter.

In the South East the Virtual Jobs Fair will run from 9am-12pm on Friday 20th November and the full timetable of all events is below.

During the Jobs Fair, individuals can view hundreds of job opportunities by visiting the National Careers Service South East Twitter page or by searching #VirtualJobsFair and #SouthEastJobs.
