Sebastian's Story

It was a CXK member of staff that first told Sebastian about Princes Trust, he was really keen to start the programme as he had only been in the UK for one month when the team started and so wanted to make new friends and learn English.  For Sebastian, the best part of the programme was the residential week because it was a great opportunity to get involved with activities he had never tried before.

To help him learn the skills he needs for the future Sebastian completed a work placement at Sainsburys and also a community project to refurbish a garden giving people a place for people to enjoy and spend time together.

Sebastian  found working in a team and being able to communicate with them a very real challenge, however by the end of the programme his English had improved, and had learned gardening skills as well as team working skills. Sebastian is now looking to go to college and would advise anyone thinking of joining the programme to do so because it is a great opportunity.
