Connect and Thrive helps Canterbury and Swale residents move closer to work by providing personalised support, skills development, and in-work guidance.
The programme is designed to support people with disabilities or disadvantages who are out of work — whether you’ve worked before or are just starting out — to access local opportunities and build a brighter future.
We’ll work with you every step of the way, from figuring out your goals to helping you settle into a new role.
This opportunity is available to anyone aged 18+ and currently out of work that needs frequent, comprehensive and tailored support.*
We’re here to help you connect with your next opportunity – and thrive – with a range of practical, personalised support.
We guide you through each step — from identifying your strengths and goals to finding the right role and staying in work.
We take time to understand your situation, needs and ambitions to provide personalised advice and mentoring.
We’ll work with you and local employers to match you to the right job. We’ll also support you throughout the application process.
Whether you’re facing disadvantage, disability, or other challenges, we’re here to help you build confidence, skills, and readiness for employment.
Take advantage of local training, volunteering, and job placements to grow your experience and move forward.
We continue to work with both you and your employer to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing success in your new role.
Please note that referrals for Connect and Thrive are currently on hold.
*To be eligible to participate, individuals must not currently be supported by other DWP or South East LEP programmes.
