National Careers Service Free Courses – Eligibility Information

All courses are available to National Careers Service clients living in Kent and East Sussex and subject to eligibility. 

Following your appointment with a National Careers Service adviser, you will be eligible for these free courses if you meet each of the following criteria:

• You are over the age of 19;
• You can say “yes” to one of the following statements:

1. I have been unemployed for 12 months or longer
2. I am aged 19-24 years old and not in education, employment or training
3. I have achieved qualifications to a Level 2 at the highest level
4. I am a single parent with 1 or more dependents
5. I have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a disability
6. I am aged 50+ unemployed or at risk of redundancy

• You attend your careers appointment or a groupwork session with the National Careers Service.

Further points to note:

• If you have been seen by the National Careers Service within the last year and have already completed accredited learning, you will not be eligible for a free course.
• We can only offer 1 course per client.
