This course is delivered as part of CXK’s Step Up programme.

Key Information

Wealden Works is a rural employment initiative. It provides an opportunity for local young people to benefit from contact with the business world and support networks – bridging the gap between education and work.

The project runs individually tailored sessions which are free to young people aged 16-24 in the Wealden area who are not in work or education.

During the project, participants receive:

Key workplace skills training
Works and college trials
Apprenticeship opportunities
1:1 mentoring
Accredited qualifications
Community connections
Networking opportunities

By developing employability and social skills, motivation and self confidence, they can move forward with their lives into work, training or further education.

Once participants secure their goals, Wealden Works continues to support them for at least a year to ensure long-term success.
