Key Information

Working Heads was an innovative new project which helps jobseekers to create a great first impression and access employers in an engaging and innovative way through a video CV, as opposed to a traditional written CV. The Working Heads project has now completed and is no longer able to accept participants or referrals.

The programme supported jobseekers through workshops which took them through that process of creating a video CV with impact. During the video – which was never more than 90 seconds in length – the candidate provided answers to three key questions designed to give an insight into their soft skills and personality. Questions such as: What is your best skill? What job do you see yourself doing in 2 years? What inspires you?

The video CV was then uploaded to an online portal, as part of the jobseeker’s profile, which was then accessible by a network of local employers looking for candidates to fill existing job opportunities. Jobseekers were also supported through workshops to identify their skills and qualities and to present themselves professionally in front of potential employers. Further workshops were offered to review how the job searching had progressed and to offer peer support and learning from the process.

The Working Heads project enabled participants to:

  • Present their professional strengths
  • Showcase their soft skills – such as communication skills, motivation, professionalism and confidence
  • Capture an employer’s attention
  • Access a pool of employers looking to recruit for live vacancies
  • Stand out to employers by doing something different
  • Get support to create their CV and prepare for interviews at one of our dedicated workshops
