Join the Youth Board
Our Youth Board is at the heart of CXK, offering young people in Kent, Essex and Sussex the opportunity to have a say in what we do and how we do it.
The CXK Youth Board is made up of young people who have experience of working with CXK. The purpose of the Board is to provide a young person’s view on the many different matters that CXK is involved in. The views of the Youth Board members are put forward to the main Board of Trustees to help make decisions and influence the work of CXK.
The Youth Board is open to young people aged from 10 to 19, or 25 for those with learning difficulties or disabilities. Members usually serve for a period of three years but this can be extended with the Board’s agreement.
There are usually six meetings held per year. The meetings are scheduled to take place a week before the Main Board of Trustee meetings.
Two members of the Youth Board are nominated to be Trustees and they are then invited to attend the Main Board meetings.
