Aligned with the Prisons Strategy White Paper 2021 objective of reducing suicide and self-harm, Settling In proactively addresses individual factors that prisoners bring into custody, such as substance misuse, mental health needs, and issues related to the prison environment.
The Settling In Programme includes high-quality emotional resilience training sessions and the guidance of peer mentors, contributing to a positive prison culture.
The programme consists of a 2-hour workshop followed by ongoing support through follow-up visits. Participants engage in interactive activities and discussions to address concerns and provide practical coping strategies.

make the workshop interactive and engaging, providing valuable tools and resources for navigating the new environment.
