As a long-standing holder of the internationally recognised standard, CXK has once again maintained its international ‘Matrix’ quality standard for its information, advice and guidance services, following a rigorous independent inspection.
The matrix Standard is a unique quality standard for organisations to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals.
The report highlighted a number of strengths within CXK’s delivery of services. This included comments on the “culture of positivity and possibility” showcased by CXK’s management team; supported with views from strategic partners and the workforce, who commented on feeling “so well supported throughout the pandemic”.
Assessors praised the Charity’s merger to incorporate the MY Trust over the last 12 months, which they commented had been “managed with sensitivity, support and a full recognition of the MY Trust staff reputation”. In addition they noted CXK’s successes in embracing effective working with stakeholders, saying: “”The CXK Way” is focused upon minimising duplication, adding value and ultimately making an impact to local and regional labour markets.”
Other examples of CXK’s strengths included the Charity’s firm commitment to organisational and sector-wide ethics, values and professionalism of IAG (information, advice and guidance) delivery. Assessors praised the Charity’s investment in its Trainee Careers Adviser Programme, which focuses on developing a talent pipeline of careers advisers to deliver its National Careers Service contract. They also commented on the “culture of innovation” that “permeates CXK” – with the whole workforce encouraged to “explore creative IAG approaches to keep IAG relevant and impactful”.
