From this month, the National Careers Service will be offering free careers information, advice and guidance to those living in Crowborough and the surrounding areas. Previously residents had to travel over an hour to access a careers information, advice and guidance service.
The service will be delivered from Crowborough Library and The Broadway, with individuals able to access advice from a qualified careers adviser either in 1:1 or group sessions.
The service is free of charge to all adults aged 19+, or those aged 18 and on Universal Credit. Residents of the town can benefit from advice and support with assessing their skills, identifying and accessing training courses and qualifications, developing their CV, improving their interview technique and progressing into work.
Beth Sebbage, National Careers Service Careers Adviser, said: “I’m delighted to be able to bring the National Careers Service to Crowborough and to support local people in achieving their career goals. Whether someone is out of work and looking for a job, thinking about changing career, or just looking to assess their skills or access some training, we’re here to provide some friendly, expert advice.”
