Proud To Be A Disability Confident Committed Employer

12th November 2019

As Purple Tuesday sees organisations across the country focusing on changing the customer experience for disabled people, CXK, as part of our commitment to equality and diversity, is proud to announce our status as a Disability Confident Committed employer.

Disability Confident is a government scheme which encourages employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.

As part of our commitment to becoming a Disability Confident Employer, CXK will focus on the active attraction and recruitment of disabled people to help fill job opportunities, ensuring the recruitment process is fully inclusive and accessible. The organisation has pledged to be flexible when assessing people so disabled job applicants have the best opportunity to demonstrate that they can do the job; proactively offer and make reasonable adjustments in the workplace where a disabled person would otherwise be put at a substantial disadvantage compared with their colleagues. In addition, the organisation will promote disability awareness throughout its supply chain and develop the disability equality awareness of all staff.

Beth Raby, HR and Training Manager at CXK, said: “At CXK we’re committed to thinking differently, and to being an inclusive organisation which recognises that disabled people are a diverse group with valuable skills and experiences. We look forward to making the most of the talents disabled workers can bring to our organisation.”
