Virtual Careers Fair to Support Young People into Apprenticeships

22nd March 2022

The National Careers Service and IPS International have announced an upcoming Virtual Careers Fair to support individuals in Kent and Medway to understand the benefits of Apprenticeships and Traineeships, and to connect them to local employers with live vacancies.

The event will take place from 10:30am-12:30pm on Thursday 28th April, is free to attend, and will include guest speakers from a range of Apprentice employers including Knauf, DS Smith, Uniper, Farmwood and University of Kent.

The event will be free to attend and will provide attendees with the opportunity to interact live with employers with current Apprenticeship and Traineeship vacancies and interact live with a panel of expert advisers.

Natalie Willis, Area Manager for the National Careers Service, says: “We are really excited for National Careers Service to have joined up with IPS International for our first virtual information showcase featuring apprentice employers.

“We’d love to encourage individuals from across Kent & Medway who may be interested in apprenticeships as a career option to come along, learn about current vacancies and find out how to make the best application they can. We really hope they will  be inspired to find out more about these and other apprenticeship opportunities and get started on a path to a rewarding career.”

Sharon Sewell, Business Development Manager at IPS International, says “It’s about choice. Not everyone is suited for university, and we want every young person to know their options. Hosting events like this allows us to give young people all the information and tools they need to make the right choice for them and their career path.”
