CXK is a member of the national group of providers delivering the ‘Team’ programme in the South East. We work closely with the Prince’s Trust and ‘Team’ programme representatives for the South East, ensuring that our programmes are delivered to a high standard and in the best interest of ‘Team’ member. CXK is funded by our partners East Kent College and Mid-Kent College to provide this service.
The BIG Society Co-operative is an umbrella organisation that allows small voluntary and community sector organisations to bid collaboratively. Members include: CXK, KCFN, BSP, Avante (Stepahead Support), Action for Children, Homestart, Family Action and Kent Youth. Membership of the Co-operative will expand the type of contracts CXK can bid for and, via the collaborative approach, increase the likelihood of CXK being successful in winning them,
CXK works closely with the Kent Association of Training Organisations to share information on the number of young people available to engage in training. KATO represents the major Training Providers in Kent and Medway. It supports and represents the interests of over 60 member organisations who deliver a variety of training programmes, including Apprenticeships. Working in partnership with KATO and its other members CXK monitors training provision availability and outcomes with the aim of improving access to and impact of this provision for young people in the South East.
KAFEC is an innovative strategic partnership uniting the further education colleges from across the four corners of Kent and Medway. CXK works in partnership with KAFEC to support progression pathways for our service users. KAFEC aims to influence the development of education and training for the benefit of all learners. It is committed to delivering high quality employability skills to support the needs and expectations of both individuals and employers across the area.
Reachfor is a social enterprise formed by like-minded organisations throughout England delivering services to young people and adults. As a member organisation of Reachfor CXK shares in commitment to work together to deliver high quality services to support young people and adults (particularly those who are vulnerable). In particular we aim to achieve positive destinations in employment, education and/or training.
CXK is a member of Careers England, a trading organisation for the provision of products and services promoting careers education and guidance in England. As a member CXK works to implement and support the strategic aim of Careers England which is to promote the economic and social benefits of careers information, advice and guidance.
CXK work with the Institute for Employment Research and in partnership have developed a range of products that support high quality career and labour market information. Our most recent project resulted in the creation of a labour market information pack for schools and colleges. We have also developed CareersNet, an online careers information and advice platform for teachers and careers professionals.
STATUS (Stay Safe And Tell Us) centres around a safe social networking site for 11 to 16 year olds and under 16s events and promotes safe socialising and how to combat bullying. Through involvement with STATUS CXK works in partnership with Kent Police, the Kent People's Trust, Achieve Digital Ltd and Amelix Ltd.
CXK is a member of the Care Leaver Progression Partnership, a collective of 19 organisations in Kent and Medway joined in commitment to improving the post-16 education and training experience for local children in care and care leavers.
